January 2014 - Vicki

 

My partner and I had been looking for a new home for months.   We were dragging our one year old son around from open to open every Saturday determined to find the house of our dreams.   It seemed our dreams were not aligned and we simply couldn’t agree.   It looked at one stage as though we might be buying two houses and living separately.

 

That’s when we met Vicki at Stirling and Young.   Vicki sat with us and clarified exactly what we both wanted in a home, a definitive price range and general location.   Within two weeks she had found the property that met our criteria and secured it for us.

 

We couldn’t be happier and now we are having another baby and our house can accommodate all of us and the dog.

March 2014 - Susan

 

A couple of years ago I purchased a two bedroom apartment off the plan in Bayside.   Not long after I relocated to America and as settlement was approaching I became a bit worried about how I was going to manage the loan, settlement, rental etc. and I had no one at home in Australia who had the ability to do this on my behalf.

 

You don’t often expect to hear a recommendation for an Australian agent in LA but that’s exactly what happened.  I was having coffee with my neighbour and good friend who is an agent at Keller Williams in Los Angeles and was discussing my concerns with him when he mentioned that he had a great friend who was an agent and who could no doubt help me with my investment.

 

That’s when I was introduced to Susan for the first time.   I felt immediately at ease.   Susan introduced me to a broker who looked after my loan and she did the pre-settlement inspection for me and made sure everything was in order.

 

June 2014 - Vicki

 

Earlier in the year I was considering selling my house.   I had only purchased it about 9 months earlier and was disappointed with many of the characteristics and was also concerned I wouldn’t get my money back let alone the other expenses such as stamp duty.

 

Anyway a friend introduced me to Vicki whom she had known for a long time to discuss what my options were.   It was agreed that I would sell the house and we also decided due to various reasons that the agent I had purchased from was not the ideal candidate to sell for me.

 

Vicki recommended 3 other agents – conducted the interviews with me and assessed their marketing campaign, costs and commissions and made a recommendation.   Thankfully it was the agent I had a good gut feeling about anyway so we appointed them.

 

I could not have been happier.   I have auctioned several houses before and have always felt quite stressed during the campaign and the opens and particularly on auction day.   Vicki took all of this hassle off my hands, managed the opens, dealt with the agent – it was a breeze.

 

Thankfully I sold the house – I did fall a bit short of what it had cost but given the quick turnaround and significant stamp duty outlay I was happy with the result and more than happy to have a stress free sale under my belt so I could move on.

July 2014 - David

 

We would really like to thank David for his management in selling our house in Cheltenham – what a gem he is to deal with.

 

We purchased a new apartment off the plan from him and then went onto to discuss the sale of what had been our family home.   We had moved to Perth and had tenants living in our house and after purchasing the investment had decided that we would sell our house as it didn’t really suit our future plans.

 

David contacted the tenants and coordinated the sale whilst they were still living there.   He organised the agents and managed everything.   Basically he was our eyes and ears on the ground whilst we were on the other side of the Country.

 

The house went to auction and sold for more than our reserve – the whole auction day consisted of one phone call – how amazing is that?

 

I believe he then went on to source a new rental property for our tenants who had also been fantastic.   It was a really good experience all the way around.   It also changed my view on estate agents – I would recommend David to anyone.
